Bruce Haynes
Bruce Haynes joined Charles River in August 2023 as Corporate Senior Vice President, Corporate and External Affairs. Mr. Haynes is responsible for providing strategic guidance and counsel in support of Charles River’s reputation, including educating public audiences on the essential role Charles River plays in the development of safe, novel treatments and therapies for patients worldwide. Responsible for managing relationships with industry, trade and government entities, Mr. Haynes also works to ensure internal collaboration and aligned communications with all company audiences.
Mr. Haynes is a veteran strategic communications and public affairs professional. Prior to joining Charles River, Mr. Haynes was a partner at FGS Global, where he served as co-chairman of firm’s globally recognized crisis and issues management practice. Mr. Haynes has also served as the chairman of public affairs at Sard Verbinnen & Co, and was a founding partner of Purple Strategies, a strategic and public affairs consultancy. He has political and policy experience at the federal and state government levels in the U.S.
Mr. Haynes holds a B.S. degree from Francis Marion University and a J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
