Monica Lombardo
Monica Lombardo is Corporate Senior Vice President, People Operations & Total Rewards at Charles River Laboratories. She is responsible for the strategy and delivery of global compensation, benefits, payroll, mobility, recognition, HR operations, and systems. She also serves as a trusted advisor to the Compensation Committee, providing guidance on executive and broad-based Total Rewards programs in alignment with governance standards and the Committee’s charter. In her role, she oversees the full spectrum of HR Operations while ensuring alignment with the company’s talent and business priorities worldwide.
Since joining Charles River in 2019 as Vice President of Total Rewards, Ms. Lombardo has played a pivotal role in evolving and strengthening the company’s global HR infrastructure. Her scope expanded in 2025 to include HR Enterprise Operations and Systems, and in 2026 to include Global Payroll, bringing together an integrated end-to-end HR operating model. She brings extensive experience across global human resources, finance, accounting, and executive compensation, including proxy disclosure requirements. Prior to Charles River, Ms. Lombardo spent over 20 years at IBM, where she held a variety of leadership roles spanning Compensation, Benefits, Mobility, Talent Management, and Finance.
Ms. Lombardo also serves on several nonprofit boards. She holds an M.B.A. in Accounting from Pace University and a B.S. in Finance from Fordham University.
